When you are at Gilbert Lodge, the fare is first class.  Guests overlook Gilbert Lake while socializing and dining.

If you think money cannot buy happiness, then you have not eaten at Gilbert Lodge.
Breakfast:  Served from 7:30 to 8:30 AM

Arco "Norseman Grog" coffee is served to guests.  This is a very special coffee that is not available everywhere, but is served at Gilbert Lodge.

Bacon
Eggs Benedict
Wild Rice Pancakes
Orange Juice
Pineapple (in season)
Strawberries on Ice Cream

Alternate:  Puffy Pancakes  

Lunch:  Served at 12 noon to 1 PM

The menu varies depending on which delicacy is in season at the time.  

Social Hour:  Starting at 5:00 PM.  Gather around the Grand Fireplace in the Gilbert Lodge Great Room or on the summer Promenade Deck.

Cocktails served to the guests. 

Shaken, but not stirred. 

Monday:  Minnesota Pot Roast or Minnesota Walleye

Tuesday:  Minnesota Oven Baked Chicken or Pork Dinner ala Chef Paula

Wednesday:  Meat Loaf Minnesota  

Thursday:  Ham and Potatoes  

Friday:  Hot Dish Casserole or Minnesota Chili

Saturday:  Chef's Favorite Pepperoni Pizza 

Sunday:  Chef' Surprise

Dinner:  Starting at 6:00 PM. Chef Paula is on duty in the Galley.  Dinner is served in the Great Room where the Grand Fireplace burns wood from the Gilbert Lodge grounds.

Desserts are often prepared with fresh ingredients found in season at the time.  Sometimes it is multiple layers of chocolate cake with ice cream on the side, drizzled with chocolate syrup.

Guests say it doesn't get any better than this.

 
After Dinner:   
 Gilbert Lodge serves the Blue Diamond brand of chocolate covered almonds.  		 Guests are also treated to Irish Cream On The Rocks....a popular choice especially during the holiday season. Paula "Gilligan" Persons hosts 3-hour tours on The Minnow around Gilbert lake. 
(an uncharted island must be out there somewhere!)
