         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Friday, December 25, 2015:   Christmas Eve had a full moon.  Even deer were out to watch it. 
 
Lights were everywhere to be seen.
 
Paula received red roses for Christmas.  She was happy.
 

Then Chef Paula was in the Gilbert Lodge Galley preparing a Grand Puffy Pancake for breakfast.  According to Paula, the Ingredients are:

Large Eggs

1 cup

Whole Milk

1 cup

All purpose flour

2 tablespoon

Granulated sugar

¼ teaspoon

Salt

2 tablespoons

Margarine or butter

Directions:

1.   Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

2.   Prepare pancake:  Place 10-inch skillet and heat until very hot. 
In blender at medium speed, combine eggs, milk, four, sugar and salt until smooth.

3.  Remove skillet from oven; add margarine and swirl until melted. 
Pour batter into hot skillet; bake 15 minutes or until puffy and golde
n.

OOPS!...the recipe is no longer secret! 
 

Add maple syrup.  The puffiness will subside to half the original height, but the flavor is worth it.  A wonderful holiday breakfast.
 
Later, Paula was found drinking her favorite Arco brand Norsman Grog coffee from a holiday cup and reading a newspaper.
Her Christmas green and res scarf looked just right for the occassion.
 
Then Paula took the neighbor dog Sadie out for a walk.  Sadie received a Christmas tree coat for Christmas.  Lucky dog!
 
The Grand Fireplace at Gilbert Lodge burned especially bright that night in honor of Christmas.
