December 25, 2015:
Christmas Eve had a full moon. Even deer were out to watch it. |
Lights were everywhere to be seen. |
Paula received red roses for Christmas. She
was happy. |
Then Chef Paula was in the Gilbert Lodge Galley preparing a Grand Puffy Pancake for breakfast. According to Paula, the Ingredients are:
Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Prepare
pancake: Place 10-inch skillet and heat until very hot.
3. Remove skillet from oven; add margarine and swirl until melted.
OOPS!...the recipe is no longer secret! |
Add maple syrup. The puffiness will subside
to half the original height, but the flavor is worth it. A
wonderful holiday breakfast. |
Later, Paula was found drinking her favorite Arco
brand Norsman Grog coffee from a holiday cup and reading a newspaper. Her Christmas green and res scarf looked just right for the occassion. |
Then Paula took the neighbor dog Sadie out for a
walk. Sadie received a Christmas tree coat for Christmas.

The Grand Fireplace at Gilbert Lodge burned especially bright that night in honor of Christmas. |
