         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Wednesday, September 21, 2011:  It was time for the annual Chili-cook-off at the Westgate Mall in Brainerd.  This was a fund raising effort for the United Way. 

Paula is seen here with her friends from the Brainerd Noon Rotary Club.  They were advertising their P(+)sitive Charge campaign to emphasize the good in the Brainerd area.

Lots of really great chili was poured into cups for the hungry that day.  
These firemen? were there from Brainerd Savings and Loan.  Good chili too.
Wes Hughes was there with his ladies who handle computer recycling.  Wes is a computer pro.  
Hot chili was served by folks from the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Brainerd.

Many hundreds attended this successful fund raising event.   

Ladies from the Good Samaritan assisted living facility served their best chili that day.
Pat Smith, salesman for Culligan in the area, enjoyed the chili.
Paula finished it all off with a cupcake.  Well, it was her 57th birthday that day.  Happy birthday, Paula!
