         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, September 24, 2011:  First on Paula's list this day was to walk to raise money for Alzheimer's research. 

To prepare for the walk, Donut Paula downed a chocolate donut to keep her going during the event.  Paula, "Do you share?"

These ladies were apparently having a bad hair day.  They walked anyway.
This young lady showed up to help too.  
There was a color guard from Brainerd Post 1647 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  This man is a WWII veteran.  He stood at attention for all to see.

Their route took them along the Mississippi River. 
Well, the 2010 Miss America's Outstanding Teen Bailey Waholz and National Princess Melanie Clark were there too.  Nice to see them as a part of this event.      
Paula walked remembering that her mother, Ione Timman, died of Alzheimer's just over a year ago.  To that end, Paula personally raised $535 for research.
