Thursday, February 14, 2013: Valentine's Day. Chef Paula selected an extra thick steak for this occasion. How thick was it? Well, she gauged it with a finger. |
Then it was off to the BBQ on the Promenade Deck.
Yes, the natural gas BBQ is used there in the winter too. A little bit of fat burning on this one. |
There was a cozy fire in the Grand Fireplace
that night. It gives a warm feeling on cold weather days and nights. |
Paula prepared one of her "almost everything" salads. This included blue cheese. |
The main course was served when the steak was done. Fit for a king and queen on Valentines Day. |
Dessert was from Paula's private stock of
Big Island Candies....made
in Hawaii. It was the Chocolate Dipped Original Shortbread cookies. Just right for occasion. |
