Monday, February 11, 2013:  The day dawned with seven inches of new snow. 

It was much less than the 8 to 18 inches that was predicted.

A rain gauge at Gilbert Lodge was filled to overflowing with snow.
It took about 90 minutes for the trusty Snow King snow thrower to clear the driveway.

This is winter in Minnesota. 

A normal state of affairs for mid-February.

Mark and Paula were disappointed because they wanted to be snowed in.

Maybe next time!
