Friday, July 13, 2012: Wildlife abounds in the Gilbert Lodge area. Here, a 10-inch turtle is heading for the lake. |
Chef Paula prepared a Summer Squash and Ricotta Galette from
Cooking Light Magazine
that evening. It had zucchini, squash, cloves, ricotta cheese, parmesan
cheese, thyme, lemon rind, and much more. Then it was topped with basil
leaves from the spice garden at Gilbert Lodge. Paula added a salad and whole wheat bread with real butter to fill the plates. |
Sunset that night was spectacular.
