Thursday, July 12, 2012:  Several hundred people, including Mark and Paula, turned out to congratulate Kevin Thesing for being presented with the annual Philanthropy Award from the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation.

Kevin is co-owner of Lakes Printing in Brainerd.  His slogan is, "Whatever it takes."  Kevin is a tireless worker and has been involved in helping to run countless civic organizations through the years.  In his speech, he said he strives to "keep people doing good things for the community."

The award dinner was held at Grand View Lodge on the north end of Gull Lake.

The lodge has been there since 1919 and is now on the National Registry of Historic Places.  

A walk to Gull Lake can be a very pleasant experience in the evening.
