         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Friday, January 27, 2012:  Three deer appeared on the lakeside of Gilbert Lodge in the early morning.  Their coats are colored to blend into the surrounding terrain.

We are reminded of the "wild kingdom" recently seen at Irish Acres.  See: http://kimkay.blogspot.com 

Wildlife abounds in the Brainerd area. 

Later in the day, Chef Paula was busy at the bread machine. 

What was she doing?

Look at that.....oatmeal bread.  Hot from the machine with a crunchy outside and tender warm inside.
On a plate with peanut butter, it was terrific.
