         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Sunday, January 29, 2012:  The Dynamic Duo of Mark and Paula Persons headed out to the grand opening of Brainerd's first curling rink.  It is really a Canadian ice sport that has now migrated this far south.

Paula couldn't resist standing next to Paul Murray in kilts, one of the proud board members of the Brainerd Lakes Curling Association.  

The sport is played on ice and is supposed to be for the every day person rather than hockey players. 

Paula is seen here after pushing a "stone" along the ice. 

Mark thought it looked easy so he was going to try.  Upon stepping on the ice, he soon lost his balance. 
Down he went....good thing the ice didn't crack!
