Wednesday, January 25, 2012: The mailbox at Gilbert Lodge has snow on top much like the lodge itself. Winter has been mild this year with probably less than 5 inches of snow so far. |
Chef Paula was in the
Grand Galley at Gilbert Lodge creating another delicious dinner.
Shown here are some of the ingredients.
What is she cooking? |
Hmmm...it is buffalo meat along with celery, onions, and more. |
She added several kinds of beans. |
Then she drained any grease off while it was still cooking. |
Wow!...she combined it all to make buffalo chili. |
On the table, it was just right on a cold winter evening. |
Chef Paula sometimes makes buffalo burgers when bison is available. It all depends on how she feels about it that day. Chef's Surprise is often a good thing. |
