         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Saturday, November 26, 2011:   Mark and Paula were busy decorating the Grand Christmas Tree in the Great Room at Gilbert Lodge.  Mark was given the job of putting an angel at the top of the tree.  He is not afraid of heights. 

Paula did the lower level decorating where it did not make her nose bleed.  Actually she did most of it because she is so fussy on making the tree look just perfect. 

Then Chef Paula was in the Grand Galley at Gilbert Lodge making her favorite party mix from nuts, Wheat Chex, Rice Chex, butter, and much more before it is baked in an oven for a while. 

The smell filled the lodge.  Wonderful stuff.

Later she made a winter favorite, Macaroni and Hamburger Hot Dish with sharp Cheddar cheese and some secret ingredients.  Excellent on a cold weather day.
That evening, a Swedish star shined brightly from the Library window at Gilbert Lodge for all to see.
