Photo of some tomatoes from a farmer's market. These
tomatoes are ripening in a south-facing Galley window at Gilbert Lodge.
There is Old Glory in the background waving its approval. |
Chef Paula is happy because fresh Georgia peaches were delivered to the lodge. They are a part of a fund raising effort by the Brainerd Noon Rotary Club. The look, smell, and taste was great. Paula is a Past President of the club and is still very active in the organization. |
Mark and Paula took a walk that evening along Island Drive and discovered some good looking grapes on vines. Hmmm....it looks like the property owner may be growing the grapes to make wine. That could be interesting! |
Along Riverside Drive, they came across a young man who caught some good looking Northern from the Mississippi River. It looks like he ate well that night. |
The scenery never ceases to amaze the Dynamic Duo. A deer was checking them out as well. Bow hunting season starts in late October and continues into November with firearm hunting. Someone might be enjoying deer venison soon. |
Quote of the day: Why is it that so many of these blog episodes are about food? Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
