Monday, July 25, 2011: Dave Cox stopped by so Paula could sit on his motorcycle. She really liked the idea of owning one. Paula...you had better tell Mark about this! |
While Paula was sitting on a motorcycle, Mark was out with his service van at a radio broadcast transmitter site near a farmer's field. Summer rain and sunshine have teamed up to make the corn crop grow exceptionally well. As you might remember from the song "Oh what a Beautiful Morning," in the musical Oklahoma, "The corn is as an elephant's eye! |

That evening, Chef Paula prepared Minnesota Walleye compliments of cousins Tom and Darrold Lingwall of Garrison, Minnesota. |
Fresh strawberries on angel food cake was the dessert of choice after dinner. The strawberries came from a local farmer's market. |
Mark and Paula headed out on Gilbert lake for the evening aboard the Minnow. |
There was plenty to see with boats towing rafts and youngsters. |
They hardly go out without seeing Minnesota loons on Gilbert Lake. |
