Tuesday, June 21, 2011: These Canadian geese were spotted escorting their young near the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd
It was, the first day of summer. It was the longest day of the year too.  There were 15 hours and 48 minutes of daylight with 8 hours and 36 minutes of darkness.  You wouldn't know it because it rained all day.  The rainfall total was 0.65 inches.

The Grand Fireplace at Gilbert Lodge was lit to warm the hearts and bodies of Mark and Paula.

 
   Chef Paula
Chef Paula prepared a stir fry dinner with chicken.  Served over brown rice, it was just what was needed on that cold day.
