Monday February 14,
2011: It was Valentines Day. Chef Paula prepared a
special feast. She started with her famous Orange Almond Salad,
which had bacon, mandarin oranges, and slivered almonds. The
dressing included oil, sugar, and cider vinegar. |

Then it was on
to cooking a sirloin steak in an iron skillet with butter. |

What made it good was her famous Garlic Merlot Sauce.
It contained oil, beef broth, butter, finely chopped garlic and Merlot
wine.

Paula was happy to receive a red rose from
her hubby Mark. |
|
On the table
with baked potato and peas, dinner was fit for a king and queen. |
|
Dessert was
Mark's favorite. Pumpkin pie with New York Vanilla ice cream was
served. It is a good thing that none of this is fattening!
