         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Friday February 18, 2011:  On a bright sunny blue-sky winter day, Deep Diver Paula left on a trip to Grand Cayman to do some SCUBA diving.  This first leg of the trip took her to Minneapolis where she will be joined by dive buddy Scuba Leslie for a non-stop flight to the island.  Paula dove at Little Cayman in 2009.

Paula left Mark to watch over activities at Gilbert Lodge.  He will be the "chief cook and bottle washer" while she is gone.

The 4-day mid-winter thaw was over.  The weather turned back into below freezing temperatures day and night.  Spring is out there somewhere, but it isn't here yet.  

Stay tuned for reports of Paula's antics on Grand Cayman.  

Saturday, February 19, 2011 e-mail:  Had very nice flight over.  Will take my camera when we go to dinner and to checkout the resort.  Head out for the dives at 8:15 in the morning.     xxxoooxxx Paula
