Friday, June 1, 2018: Mark
and Paula went exploring towns along the
River
Thames. |
Paula likes checking
out farmer's markets wherever she goes. |
Stores along the way
had plenty of sweets for her sweet tooth! |
British towns have
small streets with only a few small cars. Brits do a lot of walking.
It keeps them relatively thin. |
The River Thames has
many restaurants. |
They know how to serve
food too. |
City parks are popular in England. |
Many private yachts are seen along the river. |
Teresa Hirst and Paula were interested in the tame well-fed ducks on the
river bank. |
A photographer
was out capturing the moment with a wedding couple. |
(l-r) Paula
Persons, Teresa Hirst, Paul Hirst, and Mark Persons. Dinner on the River Thames at Maidenhead, England, with good friends. Paul is the architect who designed Gilbert Lodge. He is on assignment in England for two years. |
A park nearby was a great place to walk after dinner. |
Quote of the day: There is a lot to see in England. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
