Friday, June 1, 2018:
Mark and Paula
traveled to
Windsor Castle, about 45 minutes west of London. |
 |
 |
|
A portion of
the castle is open so the public can see over 900 years of British history. |
 |
|
Windsor is where the royal family lives. |
 |
|
Lots to see in
this place. No photographs allowed inside the buildings. |
 |
|
People travel
here from around the world to see this Royal place. |
 |
 |
|
The
Dynamic Duo of Mark and Paula Persons was
getting their photo taken when Royal Guards showed up. |
 |
|
It was time for
the "changing of the guards." They looked terrific. |
 |
|
Then guards in
black uniform arrived playing musical instruments. |
 |
|
They played
precisely without a sour note. |
 |
|
Then they
topped it off with a dance step. Who ever heard of that? |
 |
 |
|
It was then
time to mail letters to friends and go to lunch at a real British
restaurant in the nearby town. Of course, it was fish and chips. When Britain, do as the Brits do. |
