Sunday, May
24, 2015:
It was the annual Memorial Day gathering at the
Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, just north of Little Falls,
Minnesota. Some 5500 veterans are buried there with about 400 being added each year. Story from last year. |
Lots of flags that day....even on
cars. A very patriotic event. |
Many relatives of deceased
veterans visited graves of their loved ones that day...in spite of light
rain. |
Flowers were laid in remembrance. |
The Civil Air Patrol was
there.
|
|
All braches of the military were represented. One
Veterans of
Foreign Wars member was wearing flag suspenders. |
|
The grand entrance to the
presentation stage was lined with flags. |
|
The ceremonies were filled with emotion, honoring those who
have passed on. |
|
There were speeches and then a woman sang, "God Bless the USA." The crowd loved it. |
Quote of the day: Remember our fallen servicemen and women. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
