The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Saturday, May 23, 2015:  Evergreen Cemetery that morning.  It looked peaceful enough, but something was missing.

In came the Cub Scouts to plant flags for Memorial Day.  (l-r)Eric Ballard, Cub Scout Leader for Pack 36 in Baxter along with his sons Alex and Jackson.

It was a wonderful day for it and they were doing the right thing.

Yes, scouts are taught to understand the meaning and respect for our flag, the symbol for our country.  They do not let a flag touch the ground.
There were dozens more volunteers there that day who did not make it into these photos.

Quote of the day:    Glad to see that flag etiquette is still taught   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
