20, 2013:
Hawaii is a tropical paradise.
Bananas are raised there, but not exported. Hawaiians eat them instead. |
|
You can't hardly look around without seeing the ocean crashing in on the lava shore. | |
Some sea turtles come up to beaches to warm themselves in the
sun. This one was about four feet long. |
|
Paula was carrying her camera as well to capture scenes.
|
Paula spent a fair amount of time looking longingly out to sea. She did not have a bathing suit along. Darn! Good thing there was a sign nearby with clear directions. |
Local author Steve Johnson penned some of his laid-back thoughts in several
books which are distributed in Hawaii. He tells of a simple life. Mark came to believe that native Hawaiian life is like a song swaying in a gentle breeze. A great philosophy to live your life by. |
Sunset that day
was as good as any other day on this island in paradise. |
Just two days left in Hawaii before heading home. |
Quote of the day: Hawaii will live in my heart forever...and especially on cold winter days. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
