Wednesday, November 14, 2012: Paula and Mark woke up to find Gilbert Lake with a thin layer of ice. Cold temperatures and winter is coming. |
|
|
It was time to put the Gilbert Lodge Christmas Star on the 65 foot tower.
Mark climbed to the top and was taking pictures during the adventure. What is he photographing? |
Mark was getting a photo of "ground crew" Paula while she was
taking a picture of him. Hmmm....They are a couple of interesting people. |
Mark also spotted some Canadian Geese flying over on their way
south for the winter. Birds aren't the only ones going to a warmer climate during the cold months. Mark and Paula have resisted the temptation to do the same.....so far! |
The lights were tested to make sure they would be right for the
official lighting on Thanksgiving evening.
An awesome sight to say the least. |
Quote of the day: Stay tuned for the lighting of the star at night. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
