         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Wednesday, November 14, 2012:

Paula and Mark woke up to find Gilbert Lake with a thin layer of ice.

Cold temperatures and winter is coming.

It was time to put the Gilbert Lodge Christmas Star on the 65 foot tower. 

Mark climbed to the top and was taking pictures during the adventure. 

What is he photographing?   
Mark was getting a photo of "ground crew" Paula while she was taking a picture of him.

Hmmm....They are a couple of interesting people.
Mark also spotted some Canadian Geese flying over on their way south for the winter.

Birds aren't the only ones going to a warmer climate during the cold months.

Mark and Paula have resisted the temptation to do the same.....so far!
The lights were tested to make sure they would be right for the official lighting on Thanksgiving evening. 

An awesome sight to say the least.
