Chef Paula was in the Galley at Gilbert Lodge trying out a recipe that she spotted in the Lake Country Journal. |

It included two kinds of washed black beans. |
The result was Pumpkin Black Bean Soup, which was excellent
especially on a cold winter evening with buttered rolls. Other ingredients were olive oil, onions, celery, carrots, celery, garlic, tomatoes, vegetable broth, cumin, and hot sauce Yes, she even used red wine. |
