Yes, it was that time of year again to change clocks back one hour. News commentator Paul Harvey once described us as lemmings for setting our clocks back and then ahead when we really only have 24 hours in a day. At least 25 clocks needed to be set back one hour this day at Gilbert Lodge. That included wall clocks, car clocks, alarm clocks, fax machine, microwave oven, stove, and cameras, not to mention Paula's wrist watch. Fortunately the computer clocks shifted themselves automatically to standard time and apparently look at a web server for keeping their exact time. It was only a few years ago when computer clocks were notoriously fast or slow and needed to be manually set. |

Josie the cat has even more trouble trying to understand the shift between
Central Daylight Time and Central Standard Time.
By the way, you can learn a lot about a person by the books he or she reads. |
A scarecrow on the stair landing was wondering about clocks too. Digital clocks were the most challenging for Mark as each one seems to have a different sequence of buttons to be pushed to accomplish the task. Mark and Paula agree that we should stay on standard time and get rid of the pesky daylight savings time. |
