The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Friday, September 7, 2012:  Mark and Paula crossed the bridge to leave Door County after a sailboat went through in the morning.

It was a Friday....a good day to go sailing, but they were on the road to St. Paul.

First it was breakfast at the Steel Bridge Cafe on the south side of the Bridge.

A fun place for locals and tourists.

One of the favorites is Door County Cherry Pancakes.

Of course, what else would they serve since the area is known for cherries!

Great Stuff.

Then it was off to Renard's Cheese about ten miles south of Sturgeon Bay.

This place is well known because of their quality products.

Paula likes animals...including mice.

Mark and Paula couldn't resist picking up several packages including Sharp Aged Cheddar, Blue Cheese and Port Wine Cheese.

Mark and Paula then ventured on and stopped at the Leinie Lodge in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, near Eau Claire.

It is the home of the very popular regional Leinenkugel Beer.

There were samples of several kinds of beer to try.

A happy place to visit.

Paula liked the Oktoberfest shirts.

Quote of the day:  A fun day of travel through Wisconsin.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
