Wednesday, September 5, 2012: It was time to bid farewell to Washington Island and all it's charms. |

| To "escape" the island, a ferry boat takes cars and passengers across about six miles of water. Mark even got a tour of the engine room. No special security problems here. |

Mark wore his sailor shirt with nautical references for the
crossing that day. In the photo above, he is pointing out a depth charge for use if the Loch Ness Monster appears. This device is cleverly marked as a "life raft." |

Then it was off to
Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay, Wisconsin.
But what's this? There is grass on the roof of the place. A closer look revealed Billy Goats keeping the roof grass trimmed. What will they think of next? |

| Don't try ordering a
hamburger at this place.
It has a Swedish menu with great Swedish food. |
