Mark and Paula headed to the lake home of Jack and Candy Scott for the annual 4th of July picnic celebration.
|
They always put on a feast especially when the guests bring food as well. No one leaves this place hungry. |
Soon it was time for the annual egg toss....with real
eggs.
Yes, three wound up on people who were supposed to catch the egg, not break it while trying to catch it. |
Then Paula brought out the water balloons. Watch it Paula, balloons can go both ways. |
See what I mean? Time to dry off, Paula. |
Then it was time for the annual parade on Round Lake. |
This "Let Freedom Ring" entry had a bell to tell the story.
Good going. |
Even the Olympics were recognized. |
Go Team USA. |
Born in the USA. |
America can never have too many birthdays. |

It was a 94 degree day and there was an interesting weather event that evening. Two storm cells moved in from the northwest heading southeast. In the left photo, the cell on the right passed by Crow Wing County, which is to its immediate left. Then the storm started building backwards into Crow Wing County just before the second storm cell combined with it. The result was at least three tornado warnings and 0.65 inches of rain in a short period of time. No actual tornado touchdowns reported, but there were warning sirens going off for a long time. |
