Wednesday, March 14, 2012:  In preparation for St. Patrick's Day, Chef Paula served Kerrygold Dubliner Cheese from Ireland.  It is wonderful on Ritz Crackers.  This is aged cheese with a distinctive taste and a natural hint of sweetness.

With apples and pears, it is a real treat.

The ice is starting to turn dark in preparation for melting completely.  Yes, that extra hour of sunlight with daylight savings time is taking its toll.  If ice-out happens in the next week, it will be the earliest recorded in eight years at the Lodge.
Most of the snow is now gone.  Sunsets are coming later in the day. 

Here is a heart-warming view of the neighbors home just after sunset.
