19, 2012: How do you know if the dishes in a dishwasher are
clean or dirty? After thinking it through for a while,
lodge maintenance man Mark came up with a solution.
He installed a switch on the washer front panel with a knob and label.
Is the switch wired to anything? Answer: No, it doesn't need to
be. All it does is tell anyone the answer at a glance. The
switch is turned to clean whenever the washer is started and then turned
to dirty when the washer is emptied and ready to accept another load.
After talking about this, it was learned that some homes
have two dishwashers so clean dishes can go straight to the dinner table
without visiting the cupboard first and then put in the other washer
when they need to be cleaned. Mark and Paula agreed that was a bit
over the top! |
