         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Tuesday, December 27, 2011:   Deep Diver Paula is a curious person even in the winter.  Here she was looking down through the fairly clear ice on Gilbert Lake to see the bottom and whatever else was there while young Newel Hirst is skating by.  The ice was four to six inches thick.   
Here is what she saw.  Plants either below the ice or frozen in the ice.  
Plenty of green still on this one....awaiting the return of spring.
It was getting late in the day when this snowmobile drove by. 
Sunset was beautiful that day.
