Thursday, November 10, 2011:  A Burlington Northern train pulled through Brainerd, Minnesota, with a load of coal from North Dakota on its way to a power plant in Minnesota or to a lake boat destined for the Pittsburgh steel mills.  This is a common sight complete with train horns that remind residents that this is "home."  

A bronze statue of a fireman is found in front of Brainerd Fire Station #1 doing his job putting out fires and saving the lives of people.  We thank firemen for their part in keeping this world a good place to live.
