Sunday, August 14, 2011: It was summer in Minnesota and some relatives from Helena, Montana, came to visit for the afternoon. A one, and a two, and a three! Diving off the Minnow and swimming in Gilbert Lake was high on the list of activities. |
Niece Lori Heit with kids Kylie and Madison loved the August water temperature. |
The finally came aboard so the Minnow could head back to Gilbert Lodge. |
Waiting there were great-grandma June and grandpa Garry with the youngest Heit, Lucia. |
Chef Paula was in the Galley showing the girls how to weigh hamburger for dinner that night. |
On the grill it went. |
Everyone had a good time. The table included baked beans, potato salad, locally grown sweet corn, and much more. |
Who could resist water melon in the summer?
Nice flowers on the table, Paula. |
They found Captain Mark's hat, which he often wears while
skippering the Minnow.
You can't keep a straight face around this place! |
Quote of the day: Relatives can be fun people. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
