Monday, August 8, 2011:  (Yard, part 2) This obedient plant is so cool.  You can take the petals and move them and they stay in place.  It is not a common flower but is one of the few flowers that were native to the yard when we built.
This is just a view of a portion of the back yard overlooking Gilbert Lake showing the wild bergamot in bloom.

The raspberry bushes did very nicely this year.  However, Paula had to thin them out to get a better crop next year.
Just a view of our dotted mint also known as spotted bee balm.  Check the next photo.  They have the most unusual plant structure.
This mint has the most unusual flower.  Looks almost like an orchid.

Well that's the tour for this week.

Quote of the day:  Its fun walking through a yard with lots of different native flowers blooming.  Paula < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
