Monday, August 8, 2011: (Yard, part 1) Paula decided to take a photo tour of our landscape. Not sure if this is the Haralson or honey crisp tree that will give us our first crop of apples (Hopefully). |
This little bee is buy collecting for winter from our wild bergamot plant. |
Toward the lake the black-eyed susans are very plentiful this time of year. |
Out by the road Paula caught this beautiful butterfly on the
coneflowers. This time of year you cannot walk through the yard without
seeing butterflies and bees. You can actually hear them as you walk if you
listen carefully (that is the bees buzzing not the butterflies.)
|
Can you tell Paula is trying to learn new camera settings. I loved the bee against the flower with the side-oats grama grass (or that's what I think it is) peeking out. |
This lily was given to me at a flower show and I haven't taken
the time to identify it yet. But I like the color against the rock wall.

Quote of the day: The rain is finally starting to make our weed patch look like a garden. Paula | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
