Sunday, June 19, 2011: Mark and Paula visited friends Jim and Lynn Barry who had their RV at the Gull Lake Recreation Area, which is run by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The crew immediately came across a hungry squirrel that was hoping to get dinner from generous humans. |
This recreation area/campground is great for camping. For a small additional charge, firewood is provided. This happy young man and his dog were out getting wood for a campfire that night. |
The camping area is on the south end of Gull Lake. There is a dam to control the water flowing into the Gull River. These hungry fish, mostly suckers, were looking for dinner in the swirling water. |
Even this gull was on the watch for a juicy minnow or two. |
Speaking of fishing, this young lady did well catching one along the river just below the dam. |
Quote of the day: The world is out there for you to find. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
