Sunday, February 27,
2011: Deep Diver Paula flew to Minneapolis from Grand Cayman
Island late on Saturday and arrived back in Brainerd, Minnesota at 1 AM Sunday morning.
What a shock it was for her. The 82 degree day temperature at
Grand Cayman had reached a normal low of 73 degrees overnight while it was 17
below zero in Brainerd. That is a 90 degree temperature
difference. It was a mere 8 degrees below zero when she finally
arrived at Gilbert Lodge in Creampuff,
her trusty snow-covered "dive car."
Gosh, hope Paula brought some warm weather with her! |
Even Josie the cat was
happy to see Paula. Josie spent some time sniffing the luggage and
dive gear. It smelled like the island. Paula spent an hour
relating her stories about her trip to Grand Cayman. She said
there was a grandmother at one airport who was not there to take a
flight. No, she was there for the "pat-down" search! Finally at 2 AM, Paula's eyelids drooped and shut. She needed sleep after her great adventure. All's well that ends well. |
Only 18 days until St. Patrick's Day. |
Quote of the day: Welcome back, Paula. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
