Tuesday, February 22, 2011: Deep Diver Paula was back at it again on Grand Cayman Island. She saw and photographed fish near the bottom. This one was a French angel fish. |
A banded butterfly fish. How do they name these things?
This was a queen angelfish in its natural habitat. |
These are schoolmasters.
A whitespot filefish. Paula carries a book around to identify these creatures.
A smooth trunkfish. How many different kinds of fish are there? |

from Paula: Had two dives this morning. One at "Big Dipper"
that was a deep dive to 107 feet. Had some nice swim-throughs. Second
dive was shallow called Wild Life Reef. Second was the nicest dive we
have had so far. Good reef life and lots of fish to view. We have
hired a dive master to take just the two of us out for an evening dive
tonight. Meet at the dock at 6:15 for an hour of diving. Hired
Divemaster/Instructor Charlotte to guide us underwater. She is from
Denmark. We (Scuba Leslie and I) are looking forward it. Having a great time. Meeting lots of people. We are normally the last ones in the boat. XXXOOO Deep Diver Paula |
Back at the ranch (Gilbert Lodge), Mark shoveled another inch of partly cloudy (snow) off the driveway. He is thinking that winter will need to come to an end one of these days. |
Only 23 days until St. Patrick's Day. |
Quote of the day: You never know what Paula is going to run into. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
