Daturday, January 8, 2011:  One last look at the Grand Christmas Tree at Gilbert Lodge.  It was taken down awaiting another holiday season.

Paula received a very nice gift from friend Debbie Doucette of Brainerd.  Debby sewed this mittens with loving care.  They are extremely well made and warm.  Thanks Debby!     

Later in the day, Chef Paula made her famous Lodge Chili.  Here it is just getting into a pot for cooking.

On the table an hour and a half later, the chili looked as good as it tasted.  It doesn't get any better than this on a Minnesota winter day.

Question:  Can vegetarians eat animal crackers?
Answer:  Yes, if they are in the shape of fish and if the vegetarian can eat fish!
