May 31, 2010:  It is Memorial Day in the United States.  Parades are held everywhere to honor the memories of fallen military men an women.  This parade was on the Laurel Street Bridge, which crosses the Mississippi River in Brainerd, MN.

The Ladies Auxiliary of many military service organizations was there too.

A color guard was present for a 21-gun salute.

Taps was played by a bugler at the All Veterans' Memorial near the Crow Wing County Court House.  Taps is a very lonely tribute to those who gave their all for our country.

Later in the morning, a parade went to Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.  The Brainerd High School Band was present for the music.

A statue of a WWI soldier stands guard over the cemetery and the services that were held there commemorating the day.
