December 30, 2010: It started out to be a partly cloudy day. The mailbox still had snow on its roof from the last snowfall. |
It started snowing big time later in the day. Falling snow is not easily captured on camera, but you can see some of it falling in front of trees as we look over a narrows in Gilbert Lake. There is a light across the lake just visible between two of the trees. |
Mark and Paula joined friend Jim Barry at the Brainerd American Legion Club (Carl Sydney Hanson Post 255) in downtown Brainerd that evening. Chef Ted Anderson cooked prime rib. Dinners are held regularly at the club and are well received by diners especially that night. Ted has a positive attitude and is a wonderful cook. |
On the table, dinner looked and tasted great. Snow was falling heavily when Mark and Paula left the club. Stay tuned for stories of the snowfall. |
Quote of the day: Brainerd is a good place to be. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
