December 28, 2010: Mark and Paula were in St. Cloud, MN, for the day. While there they enjoyed lunch at Mongo's Grill where the theme is Mongolian. Diners select their food and have it cooked on a large round gas-fired steel grill. Great stuff. |
They caught this sunset photo at a farm south of Little Falls, MN. The place is complete with a wind mill. The temperature was below freezing on the prairie, but the sun felt warm. |
Upon returning to Gilbert Lodge, the Dynamic Duo celebrated their day with dinner which started with smoked fish from Thielen Meats in Little Falls, MN, and pickled herring (sometimes called Norwegian Sushi in Minnesota). |
For dessert, Chef Paula served her famous chocolate cake with hand-made creamy chocolate frosting. Complimenting the chocolate was New York Vanilla ice cream. It's a good thing there were no calories!!! |
