October 31, 2010: Those who dare approach Gilbert Lodge at Halloween, did so cautiously. They were not sure what is going to happen. |

One story related to us
was from Little Falls, MN. Two guys drove a car up to a tree and
raised the hood making the scene look like the car had run into the
tree. This was on Halloween when the stunt was likely to be seen
by many people. The two were wandering around the car as if they
were dazed by the accident. |
Another story involved a
man dressing as a scarecrow. He stood every still in front a table
with a sign saying "free candy." When trick or treaters reached
for the candy, the man would move...scaring the kids. |
Still one more story
involved a woman dressed as a witch at a table in the front yard of her
home. When youngsters came for candy, she would point at two piles
on the table, which were covered by handkerchiefs. One pile was a
larger than the other. Kids would pick the large pile. When
she removed the handkerchief, under it was the head of a man painted to
look like a ghoul. The man was under the table with a hole in the
table just large enough for his head to go through. He scared the
heck out of them. |
Editor's Note: It was a fun adventure getting the images up on this Web page, sometimes just minutes after each photo was snapped. The Web site was updated about ten times as the evening progressed. |
Quote of the day: It doesn't get any more scary than Haunted Gilbert Lodge on Halloween. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
