         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

January 16, 2010:  As the winter sun shines through the trees, you see an outdoor bench and bird bath blanketed with winter snow.  Gilbert Lodge celebrates its sixth anniversary on this day.  Mark and Paula moved in on January 16th, 2004.

Design and preparations of the lodge started almost four years earlier for this long and rewarding project.   

The multi-colored exterior stucco has held up well and is a testament to Architect Paul M. Hirst.  The color scheme is excellent and befits this craftsman structure which is reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.

The Lodge entrance is inviting and has a lighted flag.

Happy birthday Gilbert Lodge.
