The skies cleared a bit
in the afternoon as they headed south. |

This was the long leg of
the 1912 mile journey to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. |

Average speed was about 15 miles per hour. in twelve hours, that
is 180 miles. |

Plenty of sweets were
always available for Paula's sweet tooth. |
