Veterans Day started out with a program at the Riverside Elementry
School. |

The kids sang and gave thanks as they have done every year. |
||

||

Then at the Brainerd High School where some veterans were given
hand made quilts from Quilts of Honor. Marine Corps Lt. General Paul Cibuzar (retired) was the main speaker talking about duty, honor and country. |

|
A ceremony with a 21-gun salute and
Taps was at the All-Veterans Memorial. |

| Many restaurants that day, including Applebees, offered free meals to veterans. Friendly waitresses too. | |
