Saturday, January 30, 2021:  
The annual Nordic Ski Invitational was held at the Northland Arboretum.
Skiieers from Brainerd, Little Falls, and Bemidji competed this year.  

And they're off.

Trails at the Arb are winding and challenging.

Liliana Schaeffer took first place in the girl's varsity competition that day with
a time of 22:53:32 (just under 23 minutes) on the 8 km (5 mile) course.
Then they started to come to the finish line.

One by one they came.

Then some helpful folks came along to give directions.

Competing is exhausting.

Lots of people were watching this event.
