2020: Mark and Paula found themselves in
downtown Minneapolis when it was snowing. |
They enjoyed dinner at a German restaurant.

The event was the Minnesota VFW Mid-Winter
Conference. Lots of talks about the VFW goal of veterans helping
veterans. |
Poppies will be offered for donations in
April and May to benefit veterans. |
Good food from breakfast omelets to dinner
dessert. |
Gold Star Mother Jill Stephenson told the
story of her son Ben Kopp, an Army Ranger who was killed in action
during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Her book describes her son enlisting to fight back after 911. He was credited with saving the lives of six of his fellow soldiers. As an organ doner, he benefited others. Heart of a Ranger. |
Brainerd VFW people were at the Grand
Banquet. |
Commander Chip Borle presented a check for $6000 from the
Braienrd VFW. Paula was there with a check for $225 from the Auxiliary. |
