Tuesday, December 4, 2018:
Mark and Paula
headed to the historic old New Orleans. |
A statue of Joan of Arc was there. |
Three U.S. military veterans entertained visitors with New Orleans jazz.
Nicely done. |
Plenty to see on the streets of New Orleans. |
When hungry, many stop for a
Muffuletta.
It is an Italian sub sandwich with an olive and oil dressing. For dessert, many go for a Beignet, a hot pastry with powdered sugar. A real crowd pleaser. |
Music aplenty on every street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. |
Then a steam pipe organ was heard at the waterfront. A steamboat captain
was inviting people aboard. |
The Natchez headed up the Mississippi River. |
There was at least one interesting passenger aboard. A good place
for photographers too. |
There was plenty to see on the river. |
A band was playing rag time jazz inside. |
Once ashore, there was more to see including this man who posed for tips.
Very well done. |
No stopping the music in this city. |
Quote of the day: Another great day in New Orleans. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
