A C-47 Skytrain, sometimes referred to as the Dakota.  Designed and built by Douglas Aircraft in the 1930s as the DC-3 airliner,

Dick Cole, last of Doolittle's Raiders.  Dick was co-pilot in Jimmy Doolittle's B-25, which bombed Tokyo on April 18, 1942.
Dick went on to pilot C-47s in "the hump" transporting cargo over the Himalayan Mountains between India and China.
The pilot on the right flew C-47 gunships called Puff the Magic Dragon, Spooky or Ghost Riders in Vietnam.
